RA Engineering successfully delivered a turnkey synchronization and automation solution for Al-Karam Textile Mills, one of Pakistan’s largest and most advanced textile manufacturing facilities.

Project Scope & Key Supplies

• Mains Synchronization Panel with internal wiring, allied material, and integrated Bus Coupler Synchronization Module (ComAp) including battery bank
• Smart Load Shedding System designed for 3 × MTU 12V L64 Gas Gensets + 1 × Mains, featuring 22 programmable outputs across different plant locations with optical fibre and control cabling for fastest response
• CMC (Controller Master Control) Panel for MTU gas gensets complete with ComAp modules, droop kit, allied material, and dedicated battery bank
• Full SCADA System for real-time monitoring and historical trending of generation, load, and utilities
• Optional Jacket Water Recovery CHP (Combined Heat & Power) package with sensors for waste heat utilization

Key Features Delivered

• Seamless genset-to-genset and genset-to-mains paralleling with zero blackout transfer
• Intelligent 22-stage load shedding with priority-based protection of critical machinery
• Remote monitoring and control via ComAp WebSupervisor (cloud-ready)
• Automated start/stop, load sharing, and peak-lopping for maximum fuel efficiency
• All ComAp modules supplied with 2-year warranty from date of supply

Client Responsibilities (as agreed)

• Supply, laying & termination of power cables
• Provision of power panels, motorized breakers/contactors (on coil, off coil, UVT, aux contacts), busbar arrangements, CT/PT
• 220 VAC supply for battery charger
• Ensuring all generators are in proper running condition with electronic governor and droop-type AVR
• Actuator health and panel placement on site
• Final testing & commissioning on client-provided load
